April Reading Wrap Up

Hello Friends,

April is done and May started off with a snowy bang. Not amusing to say the least.

But April was another good reading month for me. I was able to read all of the books on my TBR but I may have added a few more to my actual list...Oops.

Young Adult

• Fantasy

  • Reaper of Souls - Kingdom of Souls #2 by Rena Barron

    • I can not say enough good things about this series. Pick it up and read it, that is all.

    • Trigger Warnings: Anxiety, Death, Kidnapping, Hallucinations and Violence.

  • Legendborn by Tracy Deon

    • Ok, another book that I could not put down until I had completed. I read the entirety of the book within twenty-four hours.

    • Trigger Warnings: Death, Violence, Amnesia and the big one Racism.

Adult

• Fantasy

  • Nevernight by Jay Kristoff

    • Trigger Warnings: Abuse, Racism and Racist Portrayal of Indigenous Cultures, Death, Murder, Blood and Violence.

  • Codex Angelicus - A.N.G.E #5 by Anne Robillard

    • Trigger Warnings: Manipulation, violence and trauma.

  • Witches of East End by Melissa De La Cruz

    • Trigger Warnings: Mentioned Conversion Therapy and Toxic Relationship.

• Classic

  • 1984 By George Orwell

    • "It was a bright cold day in April and the clocks were striking thirteen." There's a reason this book is a classic but oh my it has remained quite relevant in today's political context.

    • Trigger Warnings: Mind Control, Torture, PTSD, Trauma and Violence.

• Mystery

  • The Lying Game By Ruth Ware

    • Trigger Warnings: Alcoholism, Bullying, Death (Suicide/Murder), Drugs (Addiction/Withdrawal), Eating Disorder, Compulsions, Racism, Mentions of Self-Harm, Trauma and PTSD.

May TBR contains four books.

• The Shinning by Stephen King

• Godsgrave by Jay Kristoff

• Animal Farm by George Orwell

If I finish those four I plan on picking up the following books;
