Recall on the Month of October

Hi Everyone,

As some of you know my birthday was last week. I am now 24! Life's been throwing me a few curveballs lately and just when I think I know what's coming my way something else happens.

To be honest, October was a shitty month and if possible I'd like to send it back to where it came from. I spent most of the month at home and sick and just when things were getting better well my little Honda Civic needed some maintenance. I can and will admit that my creativity did get a jumpstart in a way I haven't experienced in a few years and that was pleasant but the struggle at times can be real. November was a lot better, I mean it was my birthday month and I did get an adorable furry sidekick that I named Gizmo. He does look like a "mogwai" - if you don't know what it is I recommend watching Gremlins after all 'tis the season!

Gizmo and I have been spending some time learning each other's quirks like I need a white noise machine to sleep and he needs to be every three hours. But he makes me feel good even though I get angry at him when he pees in the house. (For those of you who haven't figured it out yet, Gizmo's a puppy.) The rules for keeping a "mogwai" are quite similar;

1 - Don't expose him to bright light (it hurts his eyes and he gets cranky)

2 - Don't let it get wet (or else he smells like wet dog and his little bearded face drips water everywhere on the hardwood)

3 - Don't feed him after midnight (or your going to be up for the next six hours cause he's going to need to go outside to pee and poop every thirty minutes)

I have been working on my writing - I've got a short story in the works and it's going pretty well and I', almost done outlining another novel. Haven't had much time to read however, my list and stack of books to read just keeps getting bigger.
